On April 19, our first official bargaining session with management, we proposed and tentatively agreed to keep the same language for 7 current articles that either fell into the category of general contract language or very favorable language.
On May 5, our second bargaining session with management, we began the conversation on economics, UEU proposed minor changes to optimize labor/management meetings, and to ensure our members have adequate time to meet as a union at work during working hours.
In the coming sessions we will start to dig into issues concerning working conditions, the calendar, and compensation. We understand how important it is that members have a calendar for next year so that people can plan their lives.
